I was recently re-watching the Wizard of Oz, since one of my daughters was introduced to it through her Grade 1 class. (Is THIS what they’re teaching in school now??)

Anyway, there’s a great line toward the end when the Lion, who lacks courage, gets it straight from the wizard by saying, “As for you, my fine friend, you’re a victim of disorganized thinking…You’re confusing courage with wisdom.”

As strange as it may sound, there are many people who are not so much afraid of failure, as they are afraid of success. I know, I know… hard to believe. But allow me to give you some perspective.

Success in life, the good life, is your birthright.

It doesn’t matter where you come from, what your past or present circumstances are, or what you believe to be true. The truth is, you CAN be successful — rich.

Rich in relationships, rich in peace, rich in knowledge and understanding, rich in physical vitality, and yes, rich in monetary wealth. I’m talking about a complete picture here. ALL these separate pieces combined make you truly rich.

My focus today is having the courage to be rich in money. Why is this important?

Without money it becomes really difficult to have peace, to contribute outside of yourself, to help others who lack the skills or ability to move ahead, to have a great family life, travel and enjoy the most amazing places on Earth, and so much more.

What’s stopping you?

Courage really boils down to just one thing: your ability to take action despite what you may think or fear.

Because let’s face it… no matter who you are, what side of the tracks you grew up, or what culture you’re in, we all experience the pains, heartaches, disappointments, challenges, woes, walls that are put up to test us and see if we have what it takes to push through, dig under, climb over, scale, jump around, or overcome it in some way.

Notice that the WAY through to success, the courage to be rich, is an action — pushing, digging, climbing…

I can guarantee you one thing: there WILL be disappointment in life. The question is, what will you do with it? Climb or fall? Push or let go? Jump or buckle?

What I can also guarantee you is that until you decide to BE COURAGEOUS — take action despite your perceived fear — you will never know what kind of joy, excitement, peace, elation, and utter beauty awaits you.

Whether you want to earn your first dollar online or your first million, all it takes is one decision, one step, one act. Decide RIGHT NOW to be courageous!
